Six Top Uses of CBD Concentrates

If you’ve been to health food stores, yoga studios, or even some gas stations, you’ve seen CBD droppers for sale. These droppers contain an extracted version of CBD - one of the hottest ingredients in health and wellness right now.

CBD is an active ingredient from the hemp plant that works with the body's endocannabinoid system to help your body achieve balance and relax the mind. People love using CBD throughout the day to achieve their daily wellness goals - including celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Whoopie Goldberg. And even though it comes from the cannabis plant, it won’t get you high.

To help people reap the benefits of this cannabinoid without having to smoke hemp, manufacturers have created different product types for hemp-derived CBD extracts: oils, tinctures, topicals, etc.

CBD oils and tinctures are easy to ingest - you can just slip them under your tongue and enjoy the benefits of this exciting new trend in wellness. But many users have found alternative ways to use CBD extracts to get their dose of CBD throughout the day.

Explore your options and play around with new ways to enjoy CBD extracts.

CBD Coffee and Tea

Love a cup of joe in the morning? Try mixing your CBD into your coffee drink. CBD lattes are becoming all the rage in coffee shops throughout the country.

CBD Coffee and Tea

If you want to make your own at home, be sure to add a drop of oil into your milk before you froth. This allows the oil to disperse evenly throughout the beverage and won’t leave you with an oily taste at the bottom of your coffee.

Calming CBD Tea Ideas

If you would prefer to buy CBD flower, you can also mix this into your tea. Grind up your flower and mix it in with loose leaves and herbs that you would normally add to tea bags, an infuser, etc. We recommend mixing your calming CBD with other ingredients that promote balance throughout the body, including:

  • Ginger
  • Rosemary
  • Turmeric

Mixing CBD flower with green tea is also a great way to relief while winding down at the end of the day.

CBD Smoothies

You can mix CBD with any beverage - even water! Just remember to thoroughly combine the CBD to avoid the oil separating from the liquid.

Try blending CBD into your favorite smoothie. Any taste of your CBD concentrate will be hidden within the delicious flavors of your beverage and you can enjoy the benefits of the fruits, veggies, and proteins that you decide to blend together.

If you prefer a more solid blend of superfoods, try adding CBD to a smoothie bowl.

Here’s our favorite smoothie bowl for a morning boost of vitamins and minerals:

CBD Smoothie Bowl Recipe

  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries of your choice (strawberries, blueberries, or a medley)
  • 1 frozen banana (peel and slice before freezing!)
  • ¼ cup milk or non-dairy milk of choice
  • 1 dropper CBD oil
  • Toppings (hemp seeds, chia seeds, coconut flakes, granola, or sliced fruit)

CBD Smoothie Bowl Recipe

  1. Add fruits and banana to blender and blend on low.
  2. Slowly begin to add milk of your choice and CBD oil and continue to blend until mixture has the consistency of frozen yogurt.
  3. Pour into a bowl and add toppings of your choice! Granola, sliced banana, and hemp seeds are our favorite toppings to add.

Calming Vape E-Liquid

Vapers have a lot of options for what they want to put in their carts. Some vape pens are even compatible with dry cannabis flower. If you’re just looking to combine your vaping habit with CBD oil, you can mix it yourself or buy pre-made e-liquid with CBD.

If you have experience mixing e-liquid, consider grabbing the Highland Pharm Raw CBD Hemp Extract Syringe. The syringe makes it easy to add a small amount of CBD oil to your favorite e-liquid and mix it all together for a tasty, stress-relieving juice.

Relief for Fido

CBD oils  aren’t just for people. Dogs and cats also have endocannabinoid systems. Pet owners rave about using CBD oil to help with furry friend

Simply mix CBD oil or tincture into their food. Keep your CBD oil in a separate part of your pantry - there are specific CBD oils created for pets that don’t contain essential oils or added ingredients that may harm your pooch.

CBD Edible Treats

Humans are also mixing CBD oil into their food. Simply dropping CBD oil onto your sandwich or salad is going to be messy and awkward to eat, but there are plenty of recipes for making CBD edibles into delicious baked goods.

CBD Edible Treats

CBD oils are legal throughout all 50 states, so take a peek online or in your local health food stores for edible inspiration. You can also use CBD cooking and baking oil as a calming replacement to your normal cooking oil.

CBD Topicals

Not hungry? Not feeling the vape pen? CBD can also be applied to the skin through balms, salves, and creams. CBD topicals are ideal for people needing physical relief in specific areas. Just rub onto the skin and enjoy the relief!

Skincare and haircare experts have also been recommending CBD moisturizers, cleansers, and even shampoos to promote healthy growth and maintenance. If traditional medications and creams haven’t worked in the past, natural ingredients like hemp may be worth a try.

Like CBD edibles, try out some products on the market before making your own CBD oils. We love the Cooling CBD Salve Muscle Rub from Made By Hemp for muscle recovery and the Hemp CBD Face & Body Moisturizer from Abinoid Botanicals for the hair and skin.

Experiment and Have Fun!

People use CBD oil for many different reasons. CBD is a natural and powerful ingredient that is safe to use even in larger quantities. (Studies show that patients may use up to 100mg a day without severe side effects, but 20-50mg a day is the recommended dose.)
